Materials
All our wooden eyeglass frames are handmade from high-quality beech, walnut and ash wood.
Lightweight
They only weigh around 20-25 grams thanks to the material used. To give you an idea, the same model made of plastic would be approximately 30% heavier.
Durability
They are extremely durable. To describe their durability, we would say that their composite structure is not inferior to the strength of plastic frames. They are harder (less plastic) compared to flexible materials such as acetate, but this is an important condition for our product to withstand the challenges of time.
Comfort
Its texture is soft, easily adaptable and extremely comfortable for daily use. The feeling of wearing wood on your face is incomparable compared to other conventional materials such as plastic and metal.
Lenses
We use only lenses from renowned brands such as Rodenstock and Deutsche Augenoptik
Sun protection
All of our glasses come with UV400 sun protection lenses. They are specially hand-mounted to withstand even the strongest impacts.
Lens replacement
You can easily change the lenses of our quality glasses by simply taking them to an optician. GORA wooden sunglasses are extremely durable.
Handmade
Most of the processes involved in making our handmade wooden glasses take place in the area of the town of Gabrovo, central
Bulgaria. The lens assembly is carried out by our partners in some of the best workshops in the city of Sofia.
Sustainability
We work hard to be as sustainable as possible.
100% of our wood comes from FSC certified sources.
80% of our production process is manual, which means we work with very high energy efficiency.
The coatings on our wooden frames are made of natural, ecological, hypoallergenic oils that do not contain animal fat
